AI business marketplace FAQ for buyers and sellers
Straight answers about how Acquisitions works, what it is and what it is not, how numbers are verified and what you pay. If your question is not here, write to [email protected].
Platform and legality
Acquisitions is a marketplace for buying and selling AI businesses. Sellers list AI SaaS, agents and automations, AI-built apps and websites, micro SaaS and .ai domains. Buyers screen verified metrics, sign NDAs, send offers and close through an independent licensed escrow provider.
No. Acquisitions is a listing and deal-workflow platform. It is not a broker-dealer, does not represent either side and does not negotiate for anyone. Buyers and sellers deal with each other directly.
No. Nothing on Acquisitions is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer of securities. Make every decision with your own legal, tax and financial advisers.
No. The estimate is an indicative range based on public market data and the inputs you provide. It is not an appraisal and not investment advice. Read the method on SaaS valuation multiples.
Verification and data
Sellers connect their payment processor and analytics with read-only access. Revenue, subscriptions, churn and traffic come from those sources and carry a "Verified at source" badge with the date of the last sync. Details are on Revenue verification.
Revenue, subscriptions, refunds and churn from the payment processor, and visitors, sources and conversions from analytics. We do not read full card data and do not export customer personal data.
No. Every connection is read-only. We never move money, issue refunds, change prices or edit settings in a connected account. The seller can revoke access at any time.
Numbers that do not come from a connection are labelled as self-reported. Buyers always see which figures are verified and which are not.
Buying
Acquiring founders, solo acquirers, holding companies, funds and corp dev teams. Any buyer with a plan can screen listings within the limits of that plan.
Send an NDA request from the listing and sign the NDA in the app. The seller approves the request, and the identity and private details open for you.
Message the seller, send an offer from the listing and, on Acquirer and Fund, build a letter of intent with standard terms in the LOI builder. Both sides see every version.
Revenue quality, churn, gross margin after inference cost, dependency on one AI model provider, code ownership and customer concentration. The SaaS due diligence checklist covers each item.
Selling
AI SaaS, AI agents and automations, AI-built apps, AI-built websites and content products, micro SaaS and .ai domains with or without a product. Read Sell online business for the seller route.
Yes. Your name, product URL and customer details stay hidden until a buyer signs the NDA and you approve the request.
Yes. Revenue multiples do not apply to a domain without revenue, so the estimator does not invent a value for it. The listing shows the facts you provide and buyers judge comparable sales.
Most sellers describe the business, connect read-only sources and publish a listing in under an hour.
Fees and billing
Buyer plans are Scout, Acquirer and Fund at 24, 74 and 199 USD per month billed annually, or 49, 149 and 399 USD monthly. Seller plans are List, Featured and Portfolio at the same prices. See Pricing for buyers and sellers.
Sellers pay an optional success fee only on deals closed through the escrow route. It is 3% on List, 1.5% on Featured and there is no success fee on Portfolio. Buyers never pay a success fee.
No. Every plan is a subscription. The free part is the one-time valuation demo on the home page.
Payments are final. Refunds are made only for a duplicate charge, a proven unauthorized charge or a complete failure of the service. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
No. Estimates, NDA requests and active listings count as usage per billing period, and deleting does not return quota. A new period starts a fresh allowance.
Privacy
An independent licensed escrow provider holds the funds. Acquisitions never holds buyer or seller money. Funds are released after the buyer confirms the handover.
Buyers see listing data the seller chooses to publish. Private details open only after a signed NDA. We share data with service providers in categories such as hosting and email delivery, as described in the Privacy policy.
